Rules
1) If a pokemon faints, it is dead and must be either released or boxed permanently*
_{*However, if the pokemon that faints is a shadow pokemon with its heart guage already maxed out (ready for immediate purification) before it 'dies', it may be brought to the relic stone to be purified and brought back onto the team.}

2) A dice-roll or other chance method must be done of all available shadow pokemon in an area*. Only the random pokemon this selects may be used from this area.
_{*An area here is defined as a space associated with a healing machine i.e. in Pyrite there are three areas: the main town, the warehouse/ONBS and the mines. The makuhita in Phenac and the plusle in Pyrite are considered gift pokemon.}

Volunteer clause- Only pokemon captured in the first pokeball thrown at them may be used. If it is knocked out or breaks out it is the same as having knocked out a wild encounter in a normal run.

Shadow clause- All shadow pokemon encountered may be captured. However, only the one selected via the dice roll may be used.

A little background: I typically do first nuzlockes in a region with the same name I played through the game originally with. I got Colosseum just after the lucario movie was announced and before the English pronunciation of its name was announced, hence Rukario and Mew. Also something that happened was I knew you could get a bayleef somewhere in Phenac so I legit thought it was in the sack. Oh younger me X'D
